Reflecting back on my high school years, I constantly struggled with GI discomfort—persistent bloating, constipation, abdominal pain, and overwhelming fatigue that left me far from my best self.

Seeking answers, I consulted a Gastroenterologist who diagnosed me with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). A low-FODMAP diet was recommended, but beyond that, guidance was minimal. Navigating the low-FODMAP diet independently was a daunting task, leading to moments of feeling lost and overwhelmed. 
Several months later, despite my efforts, my digestive distress persisted. It took some convincing, but eventually, the doctor agreed to perform an endoscopy and colonoscopy. The outcome was unexpected—mild ulcerative colitis

At the age of 16, I was left with two diagnoses, and armed with only a diet handout and a new prescription, I knew I needed additional support….

Turning to Integrative physicians and compassionate dietitians proved transformative. They invested time to truly understand my symptoms, approaching treatment with a holistic lens—evaluating diet, lifestyle, environment, and stress levels. The journey encompassed a complete dietary revamp, personalized supplements, and a pivotal "reboot" of my nervous system through mindfulness practices.

Fast forward over 8 years, my Ulcerative Colitis is in remission, IBS is managed, and my energy levels have never been higher. This shift is more than physical health— it's really a rediscovery of self.

My mission is clear: to support others with similar journeys, those facing discouragement with current GI symptoms yet driven to reclaim optimal health.

My approach harmonizes 6 years of formal nutrition training with over 8 years of being a patient and practitioner in Integrative Medicine. This synergy allows me to deliver comprehensive care, factoring in your symptoms, test results, diet, lifestyle, environment, and stress levels. 

The result is a personalized care plan that addresses the root cause and is actionable, sustainable, and effective.

  • "To say my health was a mess before working with FLORA Nutrition would be an understatement. I’ve struggled off and on with poor digestion and acid reflux for years, but at the beginning of this year, I reached a point where I was constantly nauseous and couldn’t even tolerate the thought of food, let alone eat anything significant. I still experienced reflux even without eating anything, and my digestion was extremely sluggish. I reached out to my doctor and she prescribed me a month-long course of a PPI, which I began taking right away. While it did help calm the intense nausea, it did very little to address the actual reflux, which was the main issue I was experiencing in the first place.   • "Working with Ali was truly a breath of fresh air, if you are someone struggling with bloating, acid reflux, IBS, low fodmap diet, or anything similar to this she is your girl!  I was diagnosed with IBS in January of 2023, my doctor told me follow a FodMap diet, start fasting, and just watch anything I eat and then sent me on my way.  Fast forward to November I went all year trying to figure out what this diet actually is what I am able to eat and I was struggling.  I then had began showing signs of Acid Reflux I went to my GI doctor and she gave me a medicine to treat my symptoms….  I am not one to just take pills and hope it goes away and I was not getting any better from what I thought were the right answers and trying to just search on my own.  Prior to all of this I had an eating disorder growing up, so I have never had a positive relationship with foods.   Finally, I told myself it was time for a change… I began researching the ins and outs with Flora and finally sent an email to Molly to see what the best steps of action for me to do, this is where I was partnered up with Ali as she has history of this in her own past along with specializing in my exact issues.  This is exactly what I needed, I needed someone to help and tell me that I can overcome this and I can find a way to eat, feel the free freedom and not be scared of food.   After our initial session I knew setting up monthly calls with her was the best course of action so I began doing so and to say that this has changed my life within the first weekly session was an understatement.  She was able to share with me on areas I was lacking that no one else has ever been able to. Acid reflux, not having bowel movements (who would have known there was a certain type of stool you should have that’s actually healthy for your body to process), and my toxic traits of not eating healthy have finally gone away.
